Glenn was born as part of a third generation of singers and entertainers
in Cadillac, Michigan. He has been performing since the age of eleven. While
still in high school he helped form a family band, which prompted a move
to Pontiac, Michigan. It was there that they assumed house band duties at
the nationally known High Kicker Saloon. During the months that followed
they opened for numerous Nashville acts, thus a move to Nashville was inevitable.
Shortly after moving to Nashville the family band could be heard regularly
at the Opryland Hotel. However, their talents weren’t limited to Nashville.
They toured all over the continent including places such as: Las Vegas,
Canada, and up and down the eastern United States from Baltimore to the
Florida Keys. During this time the band worked with 50+ major artists such
as: Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Reba McEntire, Patty Loveless, and others.
The band also recorded a song written by Larry Gatlin that reached number
4 on the independent records chart known as Indie Bullet.
In 1996 the family band split. Brian continued gaining experience as a singer and instrumentalist including two seasons at Opryland Theme Park, and as the lead singer with the house band at Nashville’s Broken Spoke Saloon. He was also a featured performer at the Opry Mills Entertainment complex. He formed his own band called Hunker Down, which was featured at the famous Wildhorse Saloon, on Sunday nights for six months, opening for stars like Lee Ann Womack and Lonestar. Brian is not limited to a stage; he has established himself as a high-demand demo singer. To date, he has used his vocal talents on nearly one thousand two hundred country and Christian demos for publishers such as: Warner Chappell, MCA-Universal, and Magnatone Entertainment. He has also sung many cover songs for studios that produce sound-alike tracks. You may have heard Brian singing harmony with you at your favorite karaoke club. In the fall of 1998 Brian’s singing and bass guitar playing led him to work with legendary Grand Ole Opry stars like Jack Greene (There Goes My Everything), Billy Walker (Charlie’s Shoes), and Stonewall Jackson (Waterloo). He filled in for tenor singer Dennis McCall with the Opry’s long time harmony quartet, the Carol Lee Singers. Between the Opry House and the historic Ryman Auditorium, Brian has taken the Opry stage to perform hundreds of times, and has appeared on the nationally televised portion of the Opry about 20 times. He has appeared with various artists and performed as a solo artist on WSM’s Midnight Jamboree. Brian was hired twice as bass guitarist with the staff band for the annual Golden Voice Awards, an event honoring country music legends. In the spring of 2002, Brian received a call from Marty Stuart. Marty included Brian as harmony singer and bass guitarist with his new band, The Fabulous Superlatives.
